Ariana Grande’s Angelic New Album, eternal sunshine, Will Leave You Speechless

Ariana Grande’s Angelic New Album, eternal sunshine, Will Leave You Speechless

WRITTEN BY NEVAEH TILLMAN

Recently, I realized that I haven’t heard Ariana Grande’s music in awhile—it was my mission to listen to her new released album, eternal sunshine. Everyone has been on the Sabrina Carpenter album, Short n’ Sweet, which I am a fan of too, but it was surprising to hear that Grande’s new album isn’t talked about enough because one word and three letters—WOW!

I love eternal sunshine, and it brought me back to Ariana Grande’s fandom. eternal sunshine offers euphoric feels and raw emotions through each song. Taking the listener on a dreamscape they don’t want to miss. The album focuses on love and the complexity that comes within it. It’s as if you are being put on the Grande train and there are no pit stops! When I first heard this album, there was not one song I skipped! I always appreciated Grande’s versatility in music from genres of pop, R&B, and even some club-like beats. From start to finish, the album puts you on this galaxy-like journey with her angelic vocals and high-pitched tones. It’s absolutely stunning!

The best part of this album is how everyone can relate to it. I found myself reading between the lines and connecting with each song for its true beauty. It’s hard to pick my favorite songs from the album because each one has a special place in my heart. However, I remember when I first listened to the album I couldn’t get “true story” out of my head.  I may or may not have played that song back to back… It’s about someone knowing their boundaries and not falling for the games and lies. I am obsessed with the chorus as it brings a repetitive, badass feel. The beat reminds me of R&B vibes, which may shock some fans. The R&B taste excites me because I always loved it when Ariana Grande added some flare.

My Apple recap of October shows eternal sunshine as my most-played album. I guess I can’t be THAT surprised! Another song that reeled me in is “imperfect for you,” which showcases vulnerability in a storytelling method. The best part is the chorus, which is complemented by her background vocals that enhance the angelic Grande sound.

It’s safe to say that she has and will never lose her musical touch. I didn’t think she could top Positions, but I was wrong because this is now my favorite album out of all her music. Take my word and go listen to eternal sunshine, and think of your own love story. I’m sure the lyrics will feel like they were written just for you.
