Mother Nature isn't ready for summer to end, and neither is Bailee Madison, having just come out with new release “Chiller”. After watching Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin (2022), I did what any normal person would do, and watched endless edits and saw what other projects my favorite actors were in. Scrolling on Tiktok, I ran across Madison posting a video promoting her new song. I was in utter shock to know that she’s not only an incredible actress, but has hidden talents as a singer. She may look familiar in Just Go With It (2011) as Maggie, May Belle Aarons in Bridge to Terabithia (2007), and more.
When I first heard this song, I immediately was able to pick up on the chorus’ lyrics—it’s as if I have known this song forever! I will absolutely be adding this song to my beach playlist for next year. Madison made this song in collaboration with her boyfriend Blake Richardson and her friend Amy Stroup, in hopes to uplift the confidence of all listeners. It’s safe to say, she succeeded in the song’s message as I found myself listening to it to loosen up and dance.
The song is addicting, and I can’t help but bop my head—“Chiller” is fun and energetic with catchy lyrics that create a confident boost. I like how the song starts with no obvious beat, as the chanted lyrics sound like a mini anthem. The beat is unique as it gradually picks up as the song progresses, and I enjoy her background vocals and how they blend with the melodies. I am surprised this song hasn’t gone viral.
