Hard rock powerhouse Dark Divine is set to release “Cold (Cinematic)” as a sneak peek into the deluxe edition of their acclaimed album, Deadly Fun, released on October 4th.
Vocalist Anthony Martinez shares, “The Deadly Fun deluxe edition retains the signature sound of Dark Divine while introducing new elements that explore themes of reflection, observation, rage, and deception. We’re incredibly proud of both the original singles and the reimagined tracks that offer a fresh perspective on two fan favorites.” The band has shared stages with notable acts such as Black Veil Brides, Holding Absence, and Crown the Empire.
In comparison to the original version of “Cold,” the “Cinematic” rendition takes on a more vulnerable and emotional tone. From the poignant lyrics to Martinez’s deeply felt vocals, the song builds intensity culminating in a soft yet reflective ending that leaves listeners in contemplation. The previous version was certainly emotional, while this cinematic take allows both the vocals and lyrics to truly shine.
As a fan of rock and metal, I appreciate when bands experiment with different versions of the same song—each offering a unique experience. Dark Divine’s artistry shines through in their ability to convey anguish with sincere understanding, creating a powerful impact.
If you want to catch Dark Divine live, join their devoted fans, the “Reapers,” at Apocalypse Fest on November 1st—an event perfect for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the vibrant metal and rock community!
