FIFTY FIFTY has released a six-track mini album, Love Tune, along with a cinematic music video for the album track “SOS”.
The group aims to spread a message of love, much like their previous hit “Cupid,” which went viral in November 2022, making it the longest-charting K-pop song in Billboard Hot 100 history. FIFTY FIFTY shares, “The name of the album was created by combining the words ‘love story’ and ‘tuning.’ It was conceptualized as a radio-friendly album that delicately captures and weaves together the various forms of love we encounter in our daily lives like the many stories and confessions shared on the radio that enrich people’s lives.”
The album features tracks like “Push Your Love,” “Starry Night” (available in both Korean and English), “SOS” (also in both languages), and “Gravity”. It’s great to see that FIFTY FIFTY has created two versions of “Starry Night” and “SOS” to cater to both their Korean and English-speaking fans.
“Push Your Love” sets an airy, lovely vibe reminiscent of a romance drama, perfect for a first date. It’s absolutely cute, and dare I say, it has its sparkle! The cutesy sound brings a bright smile to my face—I can really feel the love. What a delightful way to kick off the mini album. Next up is the familiar track “Starry Night.” This track is a bit slower and beautifully explores the comfort between two people. I loved revisiting it. “SOS” brings a calming energy, with a vibe that makes you want to sway. It’s my favorite! They’ve also created a cinematic music video for “SOS,” which is cute, nostalgic, and wonderfully whimsical. The album closes with the groovy “Gravity,” which captures the sound that’s trending in K-pop right now.
As a big FIFTY FIFTY fan, I can’t wait to hear more of their music and the group’s vision to spread the love to their fans and everyone in the world willing to listen!
