“Enough of Me” focuses on the theme of knowing your worth. She uses her platform to be the voice for her listeners by sharing her vulnerability through soulful, jazz vocals—I knew I understood her. This song has been in the works since 2020. Brooke shares, when working on a different demo, she got inspiration for this single, “I sang the first line of the chorus—'You’ve had enough of me'—and I paused and thought, 'How do I resonate with this phrase?' I ended up writing it about an on-and-off dynamic I had. The theme is freedom, and what I love about the song is that it can also apply to a personified habit or even someone’s past, with the message being, 'That’s not who I am anymore.'”
Her soulful vocals are enlightening, and following along to the lyrics is storylike. The beat is unique and pairs well with her vocals. Soulful songs are hard to find now, and in the rough of the treasure, I got the opportunity to listen to this gem.
Brooke’s musical background has been driven from her passion for singing ever since she was young. She continues to do what's best for herself and decides to move to Austin to be closer to family. In her press release, it shares how she “(has) gone through the inevitable ups and downs and hard lessons learned. But one thing remained: her burning desire to make music and continue doing what she loves.”
