Surrounded by floral decor, The Used, a 2000s born American rock group, controlled the stage at Grand Rapids’ GLC Live at 20 Monroe venue on Monday, June 19. With co-headliners, Pierce the Veil, and support from Don Broco and girlfriends, you’d never expect that most people came from or had to go to work the next morning with the amount of energy from the crowd.

The Creative Control tour brought emo fans of all ages together with classic hits (old and new), crowd surfing, and moshing. Lots and lots of moshing. In fact, no artist from the night was cautious about calling out the audience for a lack of good old-fashioned hard core show energy. With years of experience behind them, and hopefully many more to go, The Used put on a show that fans will be remembering forever.

The Creative Control tour ends on July 2, 2023, but you can still catch The Used at Blue Ridge Rock Festival and Riot Fest later this year. Whether you’re an old fan or even slightly interested in their music, you’ll find a place to call home in the mosh pit of The Used’s show.
